Join Us for Holy Week at Glade UCC

Holy Week is a time to reflect on Christ’s journey to the cross and celebrate the hope of resurrection. We invite you to join us for worship and reflection as we walk through this sacred season together.

🌿 Palm Sunday – March 24

  • Breakfast at 9:15 AM – Eggs and sausage will be provided; please bring a dish to share as we enjoy fellowship together.
  • Worship at 10:30 AM – Celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem as we wave palms and prepare our hearts for the week ahead.

🌙 Maundy Thursday – March 28
There will be no in-person service, but we invite you to tune into our Facebook page for a special message and music from Chad & Bill as we remember the Last Supper and Christ’s commandment to love one another.

🙏 Good Friday – March 29
There will be no in-person service, but please visit our Facebook page for a meaningful message and music from Chad & Bill as we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice through scripture and prayer.

🌅 Easter Sunday – March 31 | 10:30 AM
Rejoice in the resurrection! Celebrate the joy of Easter morning with us through worship, music, and the good news of Christ’s victory over death.

Come and experience the journey from the cross to the empty tomb as we prepare our hearts for the hope of Easter. Then, join us on April 23rd for a special Easter/Lenten concert, celebrating the season through music and reflection.

A Concert Celebrating the music of the season

Wednesday, April 23rd – 7:00 p.m.

Join us for a powerful and uplifting Easter concert, “From the Cross to Hallelujah,” celebrating the music of the season. Experience the journey from the solemn reflection of the cross to the triumphant joy of the resurrection through beautiful choral and hand bell music. Featuring the Glade Choir, Glade Tower Handbell Choir, Darrell Johnson and Bill Powell.

Light refreshments will be served following the performance

About Our Church

Glade Church was founded in 1750 by Rev. Michael Schlatter, a German Reformed pastor. The original church was located on the outskirts of Walkersville, then moved to Fulton Avenue in 1896.
