Walkersville Day

In May of each year we participate in the community Walkersville Day, many residents and local businesses and churches, set up yard sales.  Glade rents yard sale spaces inside and out.  We also sell breakfast sandwiches and homemade soups and sandwiches for lunch.  There is a baked goods table with many different homemade sweets as well as a craft table for you to shop.

On the first Saturday in December the town of Walkersville holds a festive Christkindlmarket. Many businesses and churches in the town participate by hosting vendors who sell their wares. Glade also participates by selling homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods. There are activities for children, strolling carolers and upon the hour of 5 pm, the streets will glow with holiday lights. At the sounds of the historic church bells, we take a short stroll to Winter Wonderland, located at Fulton & Pennsylvania Avenues. Together, we light the holiday wreath and celebrate the season in song.

Glade Annual Holiday Concert

Each December our Music Director Bill Powell hosts a holiday concert here at Glade Church with local musicians, and our very own Glade Tower Handbell Choir. We also join together in classic Christmas hymns. This event is FREE and open to the public, we just ask that you bring a food item to share with the Glade Valley Food Bank.
