We are actively involved in outreach locally, regionally, and globally. There are many opportunities for you to put your gifts and talents to work at Glade.

Celebrate the holidays with Glade UCC

Advent begins on Sunday, November 27th, we will also be having our Hanging of the Greens service that morning within our worship.

Come out on December 3rd for our Annual Christkindlmarket & Parade.

Join us on Wednesday, December 21st for Bill Powell’s Annual Holiday Concert “Let the Merry Bells Ring”

We will have our Candlelight Christmas Eve Worship live in person. The musical prelude begins at 8:30 p.m. with the candlelight service at 9:00 p.m.

Please NOTE there will be no worship service on Christmas Day. Please be with your family and friends as you celebrate the birth of Christ.

We will close out the Holidays with a Hymn Sing on Sunday, January 1st at 10:30 a.m.

The Glade UCC Lottery Raffle is back, the raffle will be held the month of February 2023. Daily winners are chosen from the evening MD Pick 3 lottery drawing. Contact Ron Rough or the Church Office if you are interested in purchasing or selling raffle tickets.

About Our Church

Glade Church was founded in 1750 by Rev. Michael Schlatter, a German Reformed pastor. The original church was located on the outskirts of Walkersville, then moved to Fulton Avenue in 1896.
